Clinton Lions Fundraisers

The Clinton Lions host various fundraisers throughout the year to help provide financial support for our ongoing projects in the community. Check out some of our main fundraisers below, and keep an eye on our Facebook for any other one-offs that pop up throughout the year!

Cash Cow Raffle

We host a Cash Cow Raffle - here's how it works:
  • Lions sell tickets for $10 a piece, and only 250 tickets total are sold (great odds!!)
  • The winner receives the choice of either $500 in cash, or 1/4 of a locally-sourced butchered cow
Congratulations to the winner of our 2026 drawing:
Jocelyn Lin!

Chocolate Easter Bunny Sale

Each spring, the Clinton Lions sell chocolate bunnies to support the Lions Eye Institute & Lions Foundation in Albany, NY.

LEI's mission is to continually strive to develop and focus on new treatments, technologies, eye research, and educational opportunities for educators, physicians and communities in order to provide the very best patient care for the people of NY and our neighbors in New England.

  • Bunnies are only $5 each, with a choice of milk or dark chocolate
  • Bunnies are currently on sale for 2026!
    • If you are interested in purchasing some of these sweet treats, please reach out to your local Lion, or contact us via email or Facebook

Shred-A-Thon

The Shred-A-Thon is a community event hosted by the Lions once a year offering free, secure, on-site document destruction to prevent identity theft and recycle paper. While we do not charge a fee, we request a donation of whatever you feel comfortable providing, to help continue supporting our work for the community!

What to Bring: Confidential documents, bank statements, medical records, tax returns, old bills - any paper you want shredded
What to Remove: Plastic binders, large metal clips, folders, and plastic sleeves. Staples and paperclips are usually okay, though we do request they be removed if possible

The 2026 Shred-A-Thon will be held on
Thursday June 18th from 9a-noon
in the parking lot at Hale Transportation
(37 Kirkland Ave)

No pre-registration required!

We are proud to host a community-wide garage sale each year
  • The event runs Thursday/Friday/Saturday
  • For a $30 fee, residents are able to secure a booth at the event to sell their items
  • Tables are available for rent for $10 a piece on a first come, first served basis
  • We also reserve a few booths for local non-profits to set up on site and spread awareness of their organization
  • Entrance fee for people coming to shop is a donation of any amount (at the door - no need to buy tickets in advance!) to the Lions fund

New in 2026: we are expanding to include craft vendors too!
The 2026 Garage Sale + Craft Fair will be held
August 6th-8th at the Clinton Arena
To register for a space, please fill out the form here

White Cane Sale

Throughout the world, the long white cane is used by people who are blind or visually impaired as a tool for safe and reliable navigation.  The white cane is a symbol of the user’s skills and talents, mobility and independence.  It also allows the sighted person to recognize that the user is visually impaired.

Each year, the Clinton Lions host a White Cane Sale fundraiser, typically the weekend before Christmas.

You'll find our Lions at Dunkin, Kinney's, and other places around town collecting donations in exchange for a symbolic mini white cane and sticker.
