Gavin Kapes VanSlyke
We're thrilled to introduce our February 2026 Student of the Month, Gavin Kapes VanSlyke!
Beyond his dedication to the soccer and tennis teams, Gavin is a true innovator and driving force behind our Competitive Robotics Team. He was instrumental in transforming the team from a community group into a thriving school organization, even helping integrate it directly into our course curriculum! With the team competing four times a year in general robotics, cars, trains, and planes, Gavin's passion and leadership truly shine.
He plans to pursue his interest further by majoring in Mechatronics at either Rochester Institute of Technology or Worcester Polytechnic Institute. We are incredibly proud of Gavin's remarkable achievements and wish him all the best in his bright future!
